Patrick Swayze won our hearts and gave us something to believe in with his brilliant performance in Dirty Dancing. Soon thereafter he shook us to the very core of human emotion in Ghost. The man solely responsible for valiantly keeping Baby out of the corner has passed away at 57 years young after sadly succumbing to the pancreatic cancer that had plagued him for the last 20 months.

A victim of pancreatic cancer, Swayze fought for his life and never gave up. It happened to an icon in music, dance and in film. From "Saturday Night Live appearances", Ghost with Whoopi Goldberg, to Point Break with Keanu Reeves, Dirty Dancing with Jennifer Gray, and a handful of number one hits, Swayze accomplished everything he sought out to. He was a pioneer in dancing on set and a musical genius with a melodious voice. Rest in peace Patrick Swayze, though absent lately, you will be sorely missed.

September has been the worst month for new movie releases I can remember in my entire life. It is no wonder that two movies released 3 weeks ago topped the box office earnings this weekend (The Final Destination and Inglorious Basterds). The cast for the A Team is coming together as Rampage Jackson has signed on as B.A. I had hoped to resurrect Mr. T. but he had too much pity for fools. Perhaps Kimbo Slice but he has gone all reality on us. Warner Bros is working on a film entitled Akira, a graphic novel adapted to the big screen and produced by the creators of Children of Men.

The post-apocalypse fable 9 is scheduled to open on 9-9-9, coincidence? I plan on watching it 9 times, reviewing it nine times, and buying the DVD nine times. Transylmania is a film about a college full of vampires. We already have this, all colleges are full of bloodsuckers.
