"Now I’ve had the time of my life, and I never felt this way before." Patrick Swayze died yesterday night at the young age of 57. A victim of pancreatic cancer, Swayze fought for his life and never gave up. It happened to an icon in music, dance and in film. From "Saturday Night Live appearances", Ghost with Whoopi Goldberg, to Point Break with Keanu Reeves, Dirty Dancing with Jennifer Gray, and a handful of number one hits, Swayze accomplished everything he sought out to. He was a pioneer in dancing on set and a musical genius with a melodious voice. Rest in peace Patrick Swayze, though absent lately, you will be sorely missed.
Filmmakers insist New Moon will be better than Twilight. God I hope so, Twilight could not compete with the CW Network on a Tuesday night in either talent or intrigue. After a long and uncanny delay Silent Hill 2 is scheduled for production later this year. It is unclear whether Sean Bean will be returning to reprise his role. The first film is an adaptation of a video game from Konami. Despite being largely CGI driven during suspenseful moments, the first installment is loaded will terrifying characters and eerily suspenseful moments. More good news, the original directors and producers have signed on for the sequel.
Out of work aging actor Harrison Ford is waiting on a script for Indiana Jones 5. The longer he waits the greater the risk he will not be able to complete his own stunts! Robert Redford and Steven Spielberg are both interested in producing films about Abraham Lincoln. Fans hope they will never feud over royalties; we do not need another Civil War. Michael Bay is choosing which film to start first, Transformers 3 or Bad Boys 3. The next Transformers will likely appear in 3D at the IMAX while BB3 will be shown in drive by theaters near you! Finally, is Rachel Weisz the new Megan Fox? Jennifer’s Body director Karyn Kusama wants to cast Weisz in her next blood, nudity and guts horror picture. Sorry Rachel, Megan Fox is something more than a young you. She is gorgeous and has some talent. You are past your prime, far too-selective in choosing roles and you have as much sex appeal as Jodie Foster, NONE.
