Munger Road

Here is the breakdown of this spooky movie folks. Four teenagers find their car and cell phones randomly incapacitated on an all but abandoned road nearby the scene of a crime from years before. While waiting in their vehicle, (there are two couples on a double date), one of the young men notices something terrifying on film. Carrying a camcorder 10 years after their relevancy, the young man sees a madman in their rear view window. One by one the teenagers are either dragged off or they voluntarily run away. For the entire 80 minutes (+- 5), the two detectives on the case are in cold pursuit of the missing teens. Eventually everything converges at the scene of the crime; only we are not privy to what crime has been committed and the madman masquerading as a former serial killer (who is now in fact confirmed dead) is never revealed.

The picture builds up to nothing more than a tease for part 2. Does anyone want to watch Munger Road 2? Well, point of fact, few people want to watch Munger Road 1. Folks, if ever a director and a studio blundered it is the brainchildren behind this Halloween horror film. The suspense is lacking, the antagonist is unseen, and the teenagers are prosaic. The only thing that can save this miserable little film is the return of Freddy or Jason or Chucky. Save their intervention, Munger Road 2 will be the road to nowhere.
