Resident Evil Extinction contains the good, the bad and the evil all in one dynamic and eye-catching cinematic experience. Milla Jovovich outdoes her previous efforts with the obvious help of computer animation. Out of all of the characters acting in the trilogy, soon to be quadrilogy, she is the most salient, and for good reason. Never has such an under rated, under-appreciated actress silenced her critics so deafeningly. This third installment of the series contains something to satisfy all movie goers.
The thrill seekers will appreciate the intense, realistic and gory action sequences as Jovovich decimates a seemingly unlimited army of mutated humans. Science fiction geeks will adore the concept of the creation of the T-Virus dedicated to destroying the world only to help an egomaniacal few conquer what is left for their own unlimited gain. Those who love horror movies will also appreciate the omnipresent concept of an evil corporation ruining the world and leaving everyone for dead.
The concept behind the Umbrella corporation is brilliant, the satellite connection with Milla’s character is interesting and nicely dramatized, and the genetic test clones of our pseudo-heroine are every bit as sexy as the original. Get ready for a totally action packed ride and enjoy the few, if brief, intellectual and philosophical questions raised by a film that can be enjoyed by thirteen year old girls and 45 year old men alike.
