A Second Look at Harry Potter

The Fifth year wizard students of Hogwarts once again came back to School in spite of the whole wizarding community, especially the ministry of magic who is in denial about Voldemort returning. In comes the "Order of the Phoenix", a group formed by Dumbledore to combat the dark lord. The group is composed of different witches and wizards with varying magical abilities.

The plot revolves around the Minister of Magic beginning to suspect that Dumbledore makes false claims that Voldemort is alive in a scheme to overthrow him from power. In retaliation, the minister appoints a new professor at Hogwarts to keep an eye on Dumbledore. Professor Umbridge imposes a difficult set of rules, which forces Harry and his friends to form an occult club named "Dumbledore’s Army".

I must say, with each installment, each actor's craft improves dramatically. They have grown into their roles so well one would probably think their real life personalities closely resemble those of the characters they are playing. Daniel Radcliffe plays the hero very well, Emma Watson stopped being the annoying know it all kid from the past books, Rupert Grint also shows more than just his comical side. I must say, Imelda Staunton, who plays Prof Umbridge is convincing in her role. I remember the kids who were watching it in the same movie theater a couple of years ago hissed whenever she showed up in the screen. That is the mark of an effective villain.

Overall, I would say this is one of the cooler Harry Potter movies I have watched. I do not mind tuning in whenever it is replayed for a second, third, or fourth time.
