Scrubs Season 8

Seasons 1-4 were replete with incredible storylines; the death of family members, true romance, marriage, career woes, and friendship. This made the show a must watch. Who would want to miss a moment? Seasons 5, 6, and 7 progressively declined in laughs, nostalgia and enjoy-ability. The story centered on baby drama, infidelity, rudeness, and broken hearts. The great vibe disappeared. Suddenly the show was cancelled by NBC which thinks "The Office" is funny. Their executives may help further erode the success of network TV. Suddenly a miracle stroke happened and ABC picked up the series for at least one more year. Fans delighted in the news but waited for the episodes to prove they could go out with a bang rather than with a drama filled whimper.

Season 8 does everything fans could hope for. New interns are educated by J.D. and they are uniquely humorous and are reminiscent of the cast when they first began. This is obviously intentional but is nicely done nonetheless. J.D. and Elliot are finally lovers and without an end in sight. This is the big payoff fans have always wanted. No more mini-relationships or baby drama or douche bag boyfriends, just gorgeous romance than melts. Rather than being peculiar J.D. and Turk are incredibly effeminate and it is startlingly hilarious. What other comedy show (non-animated) makes us laugh out loud this much? Storylines are woven together with great thought of the continuity and everyone has a befitting ending. There is nothing missing here and everything is solved. This final season is the perfect ending to a great run.
