Billie Piper stars as Belle (Hanna Baxter), a thoroughly Brit-ish call girl. She is no ordinary woman for hire, she strives to be the very best. Being the most satisfying and chameleon like partner is Belle's modus operandi. She is motivated by so much more than the quid pro quo exchange of money. Bell craves adoration and acceptance. She is a lover of mankind and especially of needy men. She will go to any length (pun intended again!) to placate her clients/lovers. This is what makes the show so fascinating and exciting.

Season four has had its share of high and low points but none of them disappointing. Iddo Goldberg co stars as her former best friend turned boyfriend, Ben. Goldberg to me has always seemed an unusual choice for Belle's best friend or lover for that matter. He is scrawny, unappetizing and has a sort of unappealing sangfroid. This is what makes him the perfect choice for the lover of a call girl. He has an iron constitution enabling him to accept her profession. In this season of "Call Girl", Ben finally, after pining away for years, coaxes Belle into being his significant other. To match his enthusiasm and commitment, she invites the strapping young Brit to live with her without much tarrying. It is one thing for Ben to place her harlotry out of his mind entirely, but when her sexual lusting is in his tunnel vision doubts and agitation creep into his brain and cause a kerfuffle.

This season Bell juggles being a madam when her boss is arrested for being reckless and careless. This adds a new wrinkle on an already furrowed life. The other Discrete Elite call girls become ruthless with her and refuse to entirely follow her leadership. In particular, the Über-dominatrix Charlotte (Gemma Chan) adds a measure of spice by competing for Bell's business. Charlotte wants to prove she is the best, whips, chains, bells and whistles et al! Also dropping in on Belle's new home's doorstep is Stephanie's (Chere Lunghi as the DE madam) puerile daughter Poppy (Lily James). Poppy is a gree-eyed monster of jealousy. She is a hot nineteen year old on the outside and a bitter old hag on the inside. Poppy is thoroughly annoying and trifling, but that's the point isn't it? Lily James is a masterful nag!

The most quintessential decisions Bell must make this season involve Ben and her career. Does she want to give up the business and become Ben's full time woman? What does the business mean to her? Does she enjoy the role-playing or the sex? Is she attracted to her clients, especially the wild ones, or is it merely a lucrative job that everybody benefits from? Will she choose Ben when the ultimatum is propounded or will the lure of the lascivious draw her in for the long haul? There is only one way to find out. Tune in and beware, there is a smorgasbord of tits and ass and everything in between. Bravo Billie Piper.
