Lockout Movie on DVD

Guy Pearce can act on a street corner and draw a crowd. He gained some serious muscle mass for the role of a CIA space-faring avenger. Yet, somehow, the script of Lockout is so underwritten that none of his lines have any punch and the story is nothing more than tattooed mass murderers trying to run a space station. Good luck with that!

Lockout would have made for a great comedy if not for the terrible screenwriting of Stephen St. Leger. Leading lady Maggie Grace might have shined in Taken and will return for Taken 2, but god almighty she is dreadful here. The movie never comes to life, it is just nonstop thuggery and pointless brutality. Pointless brutality is...well...pointless.

Ladies and gentlemen and readers of all ages (25-34 according to Google Analytics!), prisoners in space are the same as down here on Earth. Sure it would be great to eject murderers and rapists and Jerry Sandusky into space but without a space suit. Why build them a billion dollar facility in orbit? Anyway, my apologies to Guy Pearce fans. He deserves better and so do you. The Lockout movie is worse than the trailer and not even the soundtrack can save it.
